Hours: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Salford (M6) who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a supportive school environment that places a strong emphasis on inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
The Role
You will be based within a classroom setting, supporting the class teacher and pupils with their learning and development. Within the class, there are three children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), so the role will involve a mix of general classroom support and targeted SEN support.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons

Providing in-class support to pupils, including small group and individual interventions

Offering additional support to pupils with SEN in line with their EHCP targets

Supporting children with a range of needs, which may include ASD, speech and language needs, ADHD or learning difficulties

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:

Experienced working in a primary school setting (essential)
Experienced working in a primary school setting (essential)

Confident supporting pupils with SEN and EHCPs
Confident supporting pupils with SEN and EHCPs

Patient, nurturing and adaptable to meet a range of learning needs
Patient, nurturing and adaptable to meet a range of learning needs

Able to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from the class teacher and SENCO

Passionate about supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
Passionate about supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
Previous experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable, though candidates with strong general classroom experience and a willingness to develop their SEN skills are also encouraged to apply.
