Want to lead the commercial strategy behind one of the UK's most iconic institutions?
This is your opportunity to influence how UK Parliament secures and manages essential goods and services, ensuring best value for the taxpayer while supporting major projects across the Parliamentary Estate, including the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Palace of Westminster.
As Commercial Director, you'll take ownership of our Indirect Categories covering ICT, security, facilities, professional services and more. You'll set and deliver strategies, manage risk, and work closely with senior leaders to drive compliance and unlock commercial opportunities. It's a role where strategic thinking meets practical delivery, and no two days are the same.
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with an expectation of you spending 40% of your time in the office.

What we're looking for.
We're looking for an experienced commercial leader who can combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery. You'll bring deep procurement expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to influence at the highest levels in a complex, high-profile environment.
- MCIPS Level 6 Membership (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
- Extensive experience managing high-value Indirect categories (ICT, security, facilities management).
- Proven track record of leading commercial teams in the public sector with a data-led, strategic approach.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including driving change and fostering an inclusive culture.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly to diverse audiences.
- Expertise in complex procurements, ensuring compliance with UK public sector regulations and delivering value for money.
- Strategic problem-solving skills with a focus on risk management and commercial outcomes.

Please note that total salary may be comprised of a mixture of basic salary pay up to £115,625 (consolidated), market sector allowance and recruitment and retention payment (both non-consolidated). While the expectation is that new starters join on the salary entry point, higher remuneration can be requested based on skills, experience, and relevant market comparators.
