Summary

Role Overview
We are seeking a Temporary Attendance Assistant to provide administrative support and help implement whole-school attendance strategies. The role ensures accurate monitoring, reporting, and follow-up of student attendance, supporting the overall improvement and sustainability of attendance across the academy.

The successful candidate will engage positively with students and parents/carers, maintain accurate records, and work collaboratively with staff teams.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily student attendance and update records.

Maintain accurate and confidential attendance reports.

Contact parents/carers regarding student absences.

Support whole-school attendance initiatives.

Collaborate with staff to address attendance concerns.

Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Provide general administrative support.

Required Skills & Qualities
Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication with students, staff, and parents/carers.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Calm, professional, and confidential approach.

Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel).

Ability to prioritise workload effectively.

Previous school attendance experience (advantageous).

Qualification
Bachelor in Business Administration, Education, Social Sciences, or a relevant field.
