About the Company
Hightown is a charitable housing association operating principally in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. We believe everyone should have a home and the support they need, so our aim is to build new homes and to provide excellent housing and support.
We currently manage over 9,300 homes and employ over 1,000 full and part time staff from our head office in Hemel Hempstead. We have an annual turnover of £120 million and a development programme that will deliver over 400 new affordable homes each year.

Hours of Work:37.5 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 07:00 - 15:00 / 14:00 - 22:00
You will support two rewarding services, Martin House, a vibrant space with self-contained flats and shared gardens that foster creativity and connection, and Hatfield Road, a smaller, hands-on setting where you will build strong, supportive relationships with five residents.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Creating tailored support plans that reflect each person’s goals and strengths
• Encouraging independence through everyday skills like cooking, cleaning, and budgeting
• Delivering compassionate, personalised support that recognises each individual’s unique experiences and needs.
• Supporting access to healthcare, appointments, and community services
• Engaging residents through creative, informal activities
• Ensuring a safe, secure, and positive environment
• Helping people set and achieve meaningful, life-changing goals
• Working independently with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts.

We are looking for someone with experience as a support worker who brings:
• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to different needs
• Reliability and flexibility, including availability for weekends and bank holidays

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (Business Insurance will be required if successful).
