What You’ll Need



  • Experience in rota coordination or workforce planning (healthcare desirable).

  • Experience using people management or rostering systems.

  • Knowledge of safe staffing practices and Working Time Regulations.

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.

  • Strong IT skills—Excel, Word, Outlook.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills.



What You’ll Do



  • Build and maintain live rotas that adapt to sickness, leave, training, and shift changes.

  • Publish rotas on time while ensuring safe staffing and compliance with Working Time Regulations.

  • Work closely with hospital leaders and department managers to meet unit-specific needs.

  • Coordinate induction schedules and ensure new starters are fully integrated into rotas.

  • Update the people management system (POD) with staffing changes and accurate shift patterns.

  • Support managers by tracking and managing annual leave and sickness to reduce service disruption.
