We currently have a vacancy for a new member of staff to join our team of School Meals Supervisory Assistants to look after the children during the lunch period ensuring that the children enjoy safe and happy lunchtimes.
Our dining hall team work in our dining halls supervising the children with their hot dinners or assisting the children with packed lunches. Duties include setting out tables and benches, laying out cutlery, mugs and drinking water and ensuring that the dining environments remain clean and safe making sure that any spills are cleaned up promptly.
Our playmakers supervise the children in our play areas which include a Scrapstore Playpod, a climbing area and an active trail as well as provision for traditional games. Playmakers are expected to interact with the children while continuing to be vigilant, ensuring safe play, and often work with an individual class or year group building a rapport with the children and their class teacher.
The ability to work as part of a team is essential to the role and we are looking for someone who is prepared to support our kind and caring ethos towards both the children and other members of staff. You will be joining an established team of friendly, hardworking and dedicated lunchtime staff committed to ensuring that the children enjoy lunchtimes and stay safe.
The hours of work are 11.30am - 1.30pm, Monday to Friday during term time. - 10 hours per weekSalary to be paid on the BG2 scale - currently £12.65 per hourClosing Date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 5th January 2026Interview date: Monday 12th January 2026
