Summary
We require a well organised, flexible and proactive individual to provide comprehensive administrative and attendance support to the Creative Studies team.
You will undertake a wide range of administrative responsibilities including diary management, communicating effectively with students, staff and parents, assisting with arranging cover arrangements for classes, arranging meetings and updating College systems. You will also actively improve student attendance by identifying and acting immediately on problems relating to student attendance, punctuality and progress. You will engage ‘at risk’ learners in person and over the telephone, monitor and maintain student records.
You will have a minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience, with preferably some experience gained in the education sector. You should also have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, and will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and experience of using IT systems/databases. You will also have experience of working with people from a disadvantaged background particularly those who are looked-after and Creative Studies students (all age groups). You will be a good team player, able to work flexibly and on your own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2026). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. This will be paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August. The salary will revert to the normal arrangements as stated in the advert at the start of the following academic year.
