Summary

We're looking for a Production Chemist to join our Transportation team based in Wymondham, Norfolk. In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the day to day technical function of the Kier Highways Solutions Wymondham plant business.

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk site based 5 days per week.

Hours: Permanent, Fulltime 37.5 hours per week.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Production Chemist you will assist in ensuring production and compliance requirements are fulfilled and to specialise in additional laboratory and technical work in our onsite laboratory.

Your day to day will include:

-Assisting with operation of in-line bitumen emulsion manufacturing plant and polymer modified bitumen manufacturing plant

-Quality Control Testing of manufactured bitumen emulsion and polymer modified bitumen products and raw materials

-Carrying out Factory Production Control of the above within a rigorous externally accredited Framework Specification context

-Specialising in additional laboratory / technical work to assist with design and development of products and processes

-Compliance to the requirements of Business Management System eg applicable Quality, PUWER, RAMPS, CoSHH records, waste management etc.



What are we looking for?

This role of Production Chemist is great if you have:

-Qualified to at least tertiary level in a relevant numerate technical subject

-Member of or working towards membership of relevant professional body

-Good presentation and report writing skills

-Ability to reliably fulfil requirements of duty roster and flexible to attend at short notice if required
