About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Property & Contracts Solicitor to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in property law and local authority work to manage a varied caseload in a flexible, hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle property and contract matters for a local authority.
- Manage lease renewals, title queries, and land registry applications.
- Oversee transfer of parts on large developments and auction sales.
- Advise on statutory residential property matters, including council charges.
- Provide guidance on local government law relating to property development.
- Complete tasks related to commercial property portfolios.
- Work collaboratively within the team and take on additional tasks as needed.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with significant property law experience (not newly qualified).
- Proven experience in residential and commercial property for local authorities.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
- Strong understanding of land registry processes and title issues.
- Flexible and proactive approach to picking up varied work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
