Summary
Job Description – Class Teacher
Location: Somerset (BA5 2TJ)
Role: Full-time teacher for Year 3/4 + Part-time teacher (Thu–Fri) for Year 1/2
About the Role
We need a caring and skilled class teacher to teach:
Year 3 & 4 (29 children, 3 with SEN) – TA support available in the mornings.
Year 1 & 2 (23 children, 5 with SEN) – Morning TA only, no TA in afternoons on Thu & Fri.
Main Duties
Teach and plan lessons in a fun, clear, and engaging way.
Support children with SEN and different learning needs.
Work with TAs and staff to help all pupils progress.
Keep records of children’s work and progress.
Follow behaviour and safeguarding policies.
Skills Needed
Good classroom control
Experience with SEN children
Strong communication
Understanding of KS1 & KS2 curriculum
Qualification
Bachelor’s in Education or a relatedQTS preferred.
