Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, youth-focused professional to join Leicester College’s Student Enrichment Team as a Student Enrichment Officer. We are looking for someone who can connect, inspire, and empower young people through positive engagement and creative enrichment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build professional relationships based on trust and mutual respect, and a passion for supporting young people to reach their potential. You will actively encourage student voice, empowerment, and participation, helping learners to play an active role in shaping their college experience.
This role involves using informal education and enrichment activities to develop students’ confidence, wellbeing, and personal and social development, while also contributing to student retention and overall success. You will also support the Student Union and Course Representatives to promote leadership, participation, and positive change across the College community.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Level 3 qualification.
Have Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English.
Possess a Level 2 IT qualification or have equivalent practical experience.
Have experience working with young people and building positive, supportive relationships.
Demonstrate knowledge and some experience in supporting mental health and wellbeing in young people.
