Summary
The post holder will be responsible for supporting clients within Darlington to stop smoking through the provision of behavioural support and access to appropriate medication or quit aids. They will develop and implement individualised quit plans, providing continuous support to clients over a 12-week period through a combination of face-to-face, virtual, and telephone-based sessions. The post holder will also be responsible for requesting and coordinating the supply of medication or quit aids to assist clients in maintaining abstinence, ensuring all interventions are delivered in line with recognised protocols and best practice guidelines. In addition, the post holder will participate in community engagement activities across Darlington to promote smoking cessation services, raise awareness of tobacco harm reduction, and encourage individuals to access available support.
