Programme Controls Manager – Civils Works Location: Sizewell C, Ipswich, Suffolk (5 days a week onsite) with occasional travel to other locations. Contract: Permanent, full-time. Salary: £ 120,000 - £ 140,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits. Benefits include: Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays. Bonus: Up to 15% annual bonus. Car Allowance £8,400 per annum. Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution, 15% employer contribution. About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Programme Controls Manager to join the Sizewell C (SZC) Project, one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes. This role sits within the Civils Works Programme (CWP), overseeing multi billion pound sub programmes and ensuring world-class project controls across schedule, cost, risk, change, and reporting. You’ll lead a team of project controls professionals, drive innovation, and ensure integrated performance management information is delivered to enable successful project outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to work on a project that will power 7% of the UK’s electricity demand for the next 60 years. What you would be responsible for… Own and continuously improve Programme Controls across major sub-programmes. Manage a team covering cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting. Over time, your leadership responsibilities may extend further as the programme evolves. Implement best practice principles for integrated project controls. Assure outputs from multiple project controls functions and liaise with supply chain partners. Support the Head of Civils Works PMO and deputise when required. Deliver high quality performance reports and drive digital innovation in project controls. What we’re looking for… Degree or equivalent in business analysis, finance, engineering, or project management. Proven track record in project controls leadership on large-scale infrastructure projects. Expertise in cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management, and risk management. Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills. Familiarity with earned value analysis and project controls systems (Power BI experience desirable).
