Summary
Laundry Technician
Location: Pyle, CF33
Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 3.30 pm up until Christmas whilst you undergo your training . After Christmas the role becomes part time working 7.30 am - 3.30 pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Pay Rate: £12.30
Contract: Temporary, duration ongoing, potential to become a permanent position after 12 weeks
Manpower is recruiting on behalf of an established healthcare equipment provider for a Laundry Technician. This role is part of a specialist team responsible for the safe decontamination and preparation of medical beds mattresses and related equipment used across healthcare settings.
The Role
You will work within a busy laundry and decontamination environment where attention to detail and a methodical approach are essential. Daily tasks include
- Cleaning and decontaminating returned equipment to a high standard
- Supporting the daily flow of items through the laundry process
- Keeping accurate records of equipment processed
- Working in line with Health and Safety and infection control procedures
- Identifying any items that are damaged or need repair
- Working as part of a team to meet demand from hospitals and care settings
About You
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- Previous experience in a similar practical role is desirable
- Able to work methodically and manage your workload effectively
- Physically able to handle larger and heavier items safely
- Comfortable working within infection control and safety guidelines
- A reliable team player with a positive approach
