Are you patient, resilient, and ready to make a real difference? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged pupils with Autism in a specialist school. This is a fantastic opportunity for both new and experienced candidates to work in a rewarding, hands-on environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with Autism, including those with complex behaviours
- Working 1:1 and in classroom settings to help pupils access learning
- Assisting teachers with day-to-day classroom activities
- Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and communication skills
- Supporting positive behaviour through consistent routines and strategies
Who We're Looking For
- Resilient and adaptable individuals who can remain calm under pressure
- Candidates with transferable skills from roles in mentoring, care, youth work, or similar
- Those with experience of Autism or working with pupils with additional needs are a bonus, but not essential
- Passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact on their lives
