As a Learning Mentor you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of children with additional needs. You'll will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that each child receives tailored support and guidance to achieve their academic and personal goals.



Key Responsibilities:

· Provide Individualized Support: Work one-on-one with children to help them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

· Assist in Classroom Activities: Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, adapting materials and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students.

· Develop Personal Growth Plans: Support students' personal development by fostering confidence, resilience, and social skills.

· Collaborate with Colleagues: Work as part of a dedicated team to share insights, strategies, and best practices to enhance student learning experiences.

· Engage with Families: Build positive relationships with parents and carers to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.



Requirements:

· Experience: Candidates must have experience supporting children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This experience can include classroom support, tutoring, sports coaching, or personal experience working with children.

· Qualifications: A clean DBS check is required for this role, but don't worry- we can assist you with the process. Qualifications in teaching, childcare, or SEND are a plus!

· Skills and Attributes: Strong communication skills, enthusiasm for working with children, and a genuine desire to help them succeed are essential.
