Summary

o Duties will include, but are not limited to: Screening and recruitment of potentially eligible patients in respiratory / sleep medicine, Consent and enrolment of participants, Support of randomisation process, Support, follow-up and clinical assessment of enrolled study participants according to the study protocol, Liaison with R&D team and collaborators, Collection and quantitative / qualitative analysis of study data and maintenance of database, Preparation of study documents, R&D and ethics applications and approvals, study materials and reports, Working with key stakeholders, including sponsor (Zeus), funder (NIHR), and patients / public (PPIE), Overseeing trial management at other sites and troubleshooting, Preparation of documentation required by sponsor, funder, MHRA, REC and R&D, Presentation and dissemination of results and progress / findings via multiple media, including conference presentation (abstracts) and research manuscript publication(s), Clinical trial management and conduct according to GCP principles. To support recruitment, consenting and randomisation to a UK-based, multi-centre randomised controlled trial (RCT). To communicate with patients / participants related to the intervention / usual care, and organise follow up / sleep studies / assessments. To attend relevant site visits (UK wide), trial steering committee (TSC) and data monitoring committee (DMC) meetings. To document case report forms (CRFs) and adverse events (AE). To adhere to GCP and HTA guidelines at all times. To work with R&D, REC and HRA to ensure appropriate authorisations are in place to proceed with the research. To participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care. To participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
