Beaconside Primary and Nursery School is seeking ahighly motivated and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacherto join our passionate team on a maternity cover basis. Full-time is required but 4 days would be considered for the right applicant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school where inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, and where staff well-being and work-life balance are genuinely valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, inspiring, and inclusive lessons tailored to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that supports pupils’ academic progress and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high expectations and consistent behaviour management across the school.
• Contribute actively to the school community and participate in wider school initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 pupils, ideally Year 2.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion and adapting teaching to meet diverse needs.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.

Desirable Qualities:

• A passion for both academic excellence and emotional development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
• High expectations for pupil outcomes and behaviour.
