Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Additional Learning Support Assistant to join our team here at Leicester College.
We are looking for enthusiastic and outstanding applicants to support students to develop their study skills, literacy, numeracy and language skills.
In this role, you will support students in a variety of environments, including in-class, small groups and workshops, outreach, and educational visits. You will be a good communicator and have the ability to form constructive relationships with students to promote independence in learning. Experience of supporting SEND students in a post-16 setting would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly to effectively develop students’ independent learning capacity and confidence by enabling them to use effective strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
You will have the following:
Level 3 qualification or be prepared to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Additional Learning Support or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or Grade 4 or equivalent)
Closing: 6 January 2026Interviews: 19 January 2026
