Are you a dynamic and compassionate senior nurse or allied health professional ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We are seeking an inspiring Deputy Director of Nursing and Healthcare Professionals to join our Clinical Group Clinical Scientific Services—a role for those who want to make a real difference and help shape the future of healthcare in our diverse services within the Clinical Group.

In this exciting position, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and Healthcare professionals for CSS to support the professional development of nurses and allied health professionals at all levels. You’ll champion a culture of quality improvement, research, and innovation, ensuring our services remain of the highest standard—now and for the future. As a key member of the senior management team, you will provide expert advice and strong clinical leadership, driving high standards in patient care, safety, and clinical effectiveness.

This is a pivotal role within our Clinical Group structure, designed to strengthen strategic nursing and AHP leadership, champion clinical quality, and drive continuous improvement.



A crucial part of your role will be leading assurance and compliance for Clinical Scientific Services (CSS), Clinical Group. You will ensure our services consistently meet and exceed regulatory and statutory requirements, embedding robust clinical governance and fostering a culture where quality and safety are central.

You will also support education, lead Trust-wide projects, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver on programme objectives. If you are ready to bring expertise and vision to a team that values excellence, innovation, and compassionate care, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional and strategic leadership across a multi-professional workforce.
• Lead on quality, compliance, safety, and patient experience, embedding governance and assurance at all levels.
• Work collaboratively with senior medical, operational, and corporate colleagues.
• Act as a key decision-maker and trusted deputy to the Clinical Scientific Services Director of Nursing.
• Champion innovation, research, workforce development, and digital transformation.

Requirements:
• Experienced senior nurse or allied health professional.
• Proven track record of delivering high standards of governance, safety, and service improvement.
• Demonstrated inclusive, compassionate leadership and ability to inspire high-performing teams.
• Ready to contribute to system-level priorities and shape the future of nursing and AHP leadership within a leading NHS organisation.
