Youth Mentor - School in Leasowe
Full-Time | Long-Term | £97 per day
Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:00pm
Chalk Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Mentor to join a welcoming school in Leasowe. This is a long-term, full-time role supporting young people to thrive both academically and personally.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils who need additional support.
- Encourage positive behaviour and act as a role model.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students.
- Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support pupil progress.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, residential, or similar).
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A positive, resilient attitude and the passion to make a real difference.
- Ability to commit to full-time hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Additional requirements:
o References confirming suitability for role
o Commitment to Safeguarding
o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
o Eligibility to work in the UK
