Summary
Estimator – Manufacturer / Subcontractor
Location: Bedford
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Benefits:
25 days holiday per year (with 2–4 days reserved for Christmas shutdown)

The Role: Estimator
They are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team in the physical security manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for creating accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements, and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for security products and installation services
Review tender documents and specifications to determine pricing
Calculate material, labour, and subcontractor costs
Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes
Assess risks and compliance with UK security standards
Maintain records of estimates and bid submissions
Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Production teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Estimator role
Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
Excellent communication and organisational skills
