St Paul’s Primary school and nursery is situated within the village of East Calder and serves the local area. The nursery setting consists of am, pm and full day learners aged between three and five years. The nursery provides spacious learning areas and there is a large outdoor and garden area. St Paul’s Nursery falls under the management of St Paul’s Primary School, which is situated in the same building. The setting is open 50 weeks per year and staff work flexibly on a rota across the opening hours.
The school are seeking to appoint three highly motivated full time ELC Practitioners to join our Nursery team. The successful candidates will work as part of a forward thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning and teaching experiences.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
