At least 2 of these days will be office based.


Business Support provides specialist administration support to services across the Council.

The postholder will be required to assist in providing effective business and administrative support to key frontline services within the Children & Young People’s Services Directorate. This includes providing a range of administrative support, to a team of Social Workers, Practice Manager & Team Managers whilst liaising with Police, Schools and other professional agencies, minute taking and ensuring follow up actions are progressed.


You will also be expected to maintain up to date accurate information on computerised records and systems to produce reports and documents in line with corporate standards.

The successful applicants will have excellent keyboard skills, proven minute taking skills and be able to prioritise their own workload, whilst working as part of a very busy team. Excellent communication and customer care skills are also essential.


It is also important to note that you will be dealing with challenging information/incoming calls and Business Support Officers are expected to be emotionally resilient to be able to support the team efficiently.
