Summary
Main Purpose of Job:
To support and maintain existing computer systems, software and infrastructure to be used by internal staff and clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Respond to enquiries by users or other members of the IT team and address promptly a broad range of problems.
• Provide day to day maintenance of the IT servers and related IT software.
• Prepare documentation of supported systems and software as required. Ensure all documentation is complete, relevant, kept up to date and centrally recorded for IT team members to access.
• Manage IT problems raised in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
• Manage the firm’s IT assets ensuring accurate documentation, inventory, labelling and disposal.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting the firm’s IT infrastructure, including:
• Printers
• Telephone System
• PCs
• Servers
• Complete all aspects of project-based work to the specified standard and timescales including but not limited to:
• Planning
• Designing
• Implementation
• Support
• Evaluation
• Monitor, maintain and diagnose issues affecting the firm’s backup solutions.
