The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with the operations team to keep machinery
running efficiently, reduce downtime, and complete preventative maintenance to ensure smooth production.
You’ll take the lead in developing, maintaining, and enhancing electrical systems, equipment, and processes across
the facility. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and driving
improvements that boost efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, develop, and maintain electrical systems, control panels, and automation for production equipment.
· Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues while improving system reliability.
· Support root cause investigations and help implement corrective actions.
· Identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing performance and quality.
· Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.
· Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure the availability of required spare parts.
· Reduce machine downtime by responding promptly and effectively to breakdowns.
· Deliver PLC fault-finding, code interpretation, and general automation support.
· Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to drive process improvements.
· Lead and contribute to Root Cause Analysis with a focus on preventing repeat issues.
· Ensure all electrical work adheres to industry standards and compliance requirements.
· Support safety reviews, risk assessments, and maintenance planning.
· Assist in capital projects involving automation, electrical upgrades, or new equipment.
· Produce and maintain technical documents, schematics, and project reports.
Shift 1 - 6-2 Monday to Friday
Shift 2 - 12 - Midnight Monday to Thursday
Also option to have permanent shift 1 or 2.
