Job Type: Shifts, Perm
Location: Barnstaple
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm rotating to Monday to Wednesday 2pm - midnight and Thursday 2pm - 11:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
Pay: £33,000-£39,000

A leading global manufacturer of high-performance instrumentation and flow-control components serving critical industries including oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, clean-energy sectors such as hydrogen and carbon capture, as well as semiconductor and life-science applications. The site specialises in precision-engineered valves, manifolds, fittings and regulators used in demanding, high-pressure and high-purity environments.
Your responsibilities
⦠Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components to specification. (Programming beneficial)
⦠Review and adjust programs, tool offsets, and tooling strategies to achieve quality, cycle-time, and required output.
⦠Perform first-off and in-process inspections to ensure all products meet established quality standards.
⦠Follow standard operating procedures, routings, work instructions, and ISO-compliant processes.
⦠Maintain a clean, organised work area in line with 5S standards.
⦠Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
⦠Train colleagues in machining techniques, methods, and best practices.
⦠Complete advanced problem solving e.g. through program development, offsets and tooling strategy.
⦠Accurately complete production records and escalate issues related to quality, safety, or equipment performance.
⦠Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE use and safe operating practices.
Who we are looking for
⦠Experienced as a CNC Miller (Fanuc, ISO or Mazak)
⦠Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
⦠Proficient in using measuring equipment i.e. gauges.
⦠Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work.
⦠Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
