Ofsted Registered Manager
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £65,000 + multiple bonus structures
Service Type: 2-bed Children’s Residential Home (SEBD & LD)
Provider: Family-run, new start-up home with an RI already in place
We are seeking an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a new children’s residential home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and full regulatory compliance. You’ll oversee daily operations, develop staff, manage resources, and create a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities for the Ofsted Registered Manager
- Lead the full Ofsted registration process
- Manage the home in line with regulations and best practice
- Oversee safeguarding, care plans and risk assessments
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
- Maintain accurate records and regulatory compliance
- Work with families, professionals and external agencies
- Manage budgets and support inspection readiness
Essential Requirements for the Ofsted Registered Manager
- 2+ years’ residential childcare experience
- 1+ year managing staff (within last 5 years)
- Level 5 Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards & safeguarding
- Effective leadership, communication and decision-making skills
- Experience of positive Ofsted outcomes
- Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
