What skills and experience we're looking for
Newton Bridge Academy is an all-needs specialist school catering for over 250 pupils aged 4-19 years with a range of different needs and abilities, and all pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school was legally formed as Grantham Additional Needs Fellowship (GANF) on 1 January 2024 following the merger of Ambergate Sports College and The Grantham Sandon School, two schools that were judged to be ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted prior to the merger. The school’s name was officially changed from GANF to Newton Bridge Academy on 1 September 2025 to reinforce and celebrate our identity as one school. Our two sites are known as ‘Newton East Site’ which is situated towards the east side of Grantham town, and ‘Newton West Site’ which is to the west.
Our school motto is ‘Unique learners. Limitless learning.’
We see every member of our school community as a ‘unique learner’ capable of ‘limitless learning’, through the acceptance and celebration of diversity, pupils’ rights and the belief that all children and young people can learn, achieve and fully participate in school and wider community life, whatever their circumstances.
At Newton Bridge Academy, we offer a high-quality pathway-based curriculum that is personalised to ensure our fantastic pupils make the best possible progress.
