Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Stirling Council’s Early Years team as a Modern Apprentice based in Killin Nursery, Stirling. Due to the rural location of the nursery, you must be able to travel to Killin. To be considered for this role, you should be aged 16 or over, hold at least 3 National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) (including English), and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for the role and a commitment to learn.

You will work as a member of a team, supporting the delivery of a broad and balanced early year’s curriculum within a caring, safe, and welcoming environment, to enable each child to achieve their potential. You will contribute to the creation of a positive ethos to support the development of children’s self-esteem and personal identity in a climate of trust and praise. You will learn about the importance of working with parents and carers, and with other agencies, to promote the welfare and development of every child.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.

If you have an HNC in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent) you need not apply.
