Summary

Job Description – Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location:Kingston, KT1 2AH

Salary:Up to £50,000 per annum

Hours:40 hours per week , Shifts across Mondayto Sunday

Shift:4 days on 4 days off, 07:00-19:00

Purpose of the Role

Deliver statutory,legislative, and mandatory electrical maintenance across the client site,completing both planned and reactive tasks as well as minor new works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults and carry out routine maintenance to industry standards.
  • Complete planned maintenance, reactive tasks, minor new works, and like-for-like replacements.
  • Conduct electrical testing and verification of minor works.
  • Perform risk assessments and work safely at all times.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours support.
  • Supervise specialist subcontractors and support apprentices.
  • Maintain accurate records of work, time, and materials.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in shift and call-out patterns once the site is live.

Key Accountabilities

  • Safe, compliant delivery of electrical maintenance.
  • Efficient completion of tasks within service-level requirements.
  • Accurate documentation and reporting to the supervisor.
  • Proper care and use of tools, equipment, and PPE.
  • Ongoing completion of training and competency assessments.

Person Specification

  • 2 years’ experience in technical maintenance.
  • Strong practical electrical engineering skills and systematic problem-solving.
  • Experience working within H&S procedures and safe systems of work.
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office & CMMS).
  • Ability to self-manage workload and communicate effectively.
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection & Testing.
