Summary
Job Description – Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location:Kingston, KT1 2AH
Salary:Up to £50,000 per annum
Hours:40 hours per week , Shifts across Mondayto Sunday
Shift:4 days on 4 days off, 07:00-19:00
Purpose of the Role
Deliver statutory,legislative, and mandatory electrical maintenance across the client site,completing both planned and reactive tasks as well as minor new works.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and carry out routine maintenance to industry standards.
- Complete planned maintenance, reactive tasks, minor new works, and like-for-like replacements.
- Conduct electrical testing and verification of minor works.
- Perform risk assessments and work safely at all times.
- Respond to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours support.
- Supervise specialist subcontractors and support apprentices.
- Maintain accurate records of work, time, and materials.
- Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in shift and call-out patterns once the site is live.
Key Accountabilities
- Safe, compliant delivery of electrical maintenance.
- Efficient completion of tasks within service-level requirements.
- Accurate documentation and reporting to the supervisor.
- Proper care and use of tools, equipment, and PPE.
- Ongoing completion of training and competency assessments.
Person Specification
- 2 years’ experience in technical maintenance.
- Strong practical electrical engineering skills and systematic problem-solving.
- Experience working within H&S procedures and safe systems of work.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office & CMMS).
- Ability to self-manage workload and communicate effectively.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection & Testing.
