Summary

Part-time Receptionist
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the well-established, family run Manor Hall Nursing Home, Eastbourne.

This welcoming nursing home offers residential and nursing care and provides person centred care to elderly residents with end-of-life care needs, mental health conditions and physical disabilities as well as those who are younger.
We are looking for a part-time 15 hours per week receptionist to join our team. Experience of working in a nursing home or care home environment would be ideal but not essential.
The Role
We are seeking a capable and compassionate Receptionist to join our administration team working Thursdays and Fridays. You will be based in our front reception area and will be the key first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and professionals.
This position combines receptionist and administrative duties. You will work closely with our management team, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the home.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide a warm and professional welcome to all visitors, residents, and colleagues.
• Manage phone calls and emails, ensuring queries are handled efficiently.
• Assist with administrative duties including document preparation, recruitment support, and record keeping.
• Provide cover for the other receptionist during holidays, sickness, or other absences, as required.
About You
• Confident user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Discreet and respectful when handling confidential information.
• A genuine interest in the care and wellbeing of our residents.
• Previous administrative, reception, or care experience preferred, but full training will be provided.
