Summary
Are you an experienced Attendance Officer looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham?
Winner Education are working closely with a school in Central Birmingham in assisting them with the recruitment of a School Attendance Officer. The role is full time, 8:30-3:30pm per day. You will be required to start immediately on a long-term placement with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Day to day attendance monitoring
• Updating student records
• Previous experience using SIMS software system
• Supporting students and families regarding attendance issues
• Liaising student parents/guardians to verify student absences
• Monitoring and enforcing school attendance policies
• Maintain accurate pupil attendance records
• Provide administrative support as and when required
• Conducting home visits
• Produce pupil attendance reports
• Provide cover on main school reception as and when required
• Present data to senior leaders
• Attend management meetings when required
The Successful School Attendance Officer will:
• Need to be highly organised
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have previous school attendance/administration experience
• Be highly motivated, professional and forward thinking
• Have proficient computer skills including experience with SIMS
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
• Be able to form positive relationships with all staff and parents
• Require knowledge of school attendance procedures
