Job Title: Learning Support Assistant and Midday Assistant

Hours: LSA 28.75 hours per week MDA 2.5 hours per week Monday to Friday term time only

Salary Grade: LSA Scale 3 point 5-6 FTE is £25,583.00- £25,989.00 pro rata is £17,003.03 - £17,272.78, MDA Scale 1 point 3 FTE £24,796.00 pro rata is £1,433.03

Contract Type: Fixed Term until August 2026 (in the first instance)

The headteacher and governors at Moss Hey Primary are looking to appoint an approachable and proactive learning support assistant with additional Midday Assistant hours to be part of our team.

In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs. You will work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support.


The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to:

To support the learning, personal development and inclusion of pupils in accordance with the ethos and policies of the school

To provide high standards of care and learning opportunities for children

Be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents

To provide supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period both in the dining area and during playground activities


Key Skills & Experience

Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous

Ideally possess prior experience with working with children with SEND

Strong literacy and numeracy skills
