Schedule: 39hrs/week Mon – Fri No Weekends or Evening Callouts.

About The Role:

The Forklift Service Engineer can either be home based or factory based and using a company van you will maintain the company’s own forklifts at customers’ sites across the UK. Candidates preferably would be in close proximity to their base in Clowne, Chesterfield.

The Forklift Engineer will have good general engineering skills and experience repairing and maintaining forklifts or other similar industrial trucks. The successful candidate will be well supported within the service and parts team and undergo product training but will be expected to meet deadlines from the outset and their performance will be monitored. The company has high expectations of all employees.

Duties:

• Responsible for attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs
• Preventative maintenance
• Thorough Examinations
• Set out work on site in accordance with RAMS issued
• Liaise with the site manager or operator of the premises
• Liaise with parts department to ensure correct stock levels in company van

Candidate Requirements:

• In-depth mechanical experience including strong diagnostic skills
• A forklift, agricultural or industrial truck engineering experience
• Experience with Hydro-electrical circuits
• Computer literate
• Willingness to learn new skills and expand existing knowledge
• Good verbal, visual and written communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
