Summary
A French-speaking Governess is needed by a family in London to join them in the afternoons. The ideal candidate will be a fluent French speaker, as the children attend a French school. The role will involve supporting the children with their homework and providing assistance as a teaching assistant (TA) when needed. This is a permanent position, with an existing candidate covering the mornings. Experience working with children who have special needs is essential, as one of the children has Down Syndrome and requires dedicated support with his progress and daily activities. The family is flexible for the right candidate and eager to find someone who can become a valued part of their routine. An after-school nanny is also considered.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: 4/5 days a week - from 4 pm - 7 pm | Flexibility can be provided
Duties include:
Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the children.,
Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children.,
Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park.,
Encouraging reading books to the children.,
Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth.,
Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children's structure and development.,
Keeping children's bedroom and play areas clean, organised, and tidy.,
Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
