Summary
We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our client's team in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver personalised support and adaptations to ensure that each student can access the curriculum and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to plan and deliver differentiated lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs of SEND students
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Assist with the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
- Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons and extracurricular activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and support provided
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the student's support network
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities
- Excellent understanding of inclusive education practices and strategies
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs
