SEND Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Wandsworth
Full Time | Term Time Only | December 2025 Start
Up to £120 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
We are working with a well-established all-girls secondary school in Wandsworth to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is a rewarding and varied role that involves working closely with students who require personal care, structured routines, and additional classroom support. The school has a strong pastoral and SEN department and offers clear pathways for progression into senior support, inclusion, or specialist roles.
The position begins in December 2025, and interviews will be held shortly - early applications are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Support students with personal care, hygiene routines, and physical needs
- Assist pupils with learning tasks across a range of subjects
- Work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and pastoral team
- Promote emotional regulation and inclusion within the classroom
- Help implement EHCP targets and contribute to progress reviews
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting students with SEND and personal care needs
- A compassionate, patient, and consistent approach
- Confidence working in a busy secondary school environment
- Understanding of safeguarding and individual learning plans
- A background in SEN support, care, or youth work is desirable

- Accessible via Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Town and Earlsfield stations
- Bus routes include: 87, 337, 156, 44, 77
