Summary
Work in an outreach capacity to provide sexual health promotion in a variety of settings with a range of clients including vulnerable groups Utilise IT skills for reports, presentations, data collection and analysis and internet communication contributing to day to day administration for the smooth running of the service Through the development of local health promotion plans and via networking and collaboration, encourage good practice in health promotion service delivery To take part in developing the evaluation strategy for the Outreach service, to monitor working practices accordingly Implement national and local policies when relevant Use public health and other data to analyse health needs and the effectiveness of health promotion interventions Undertake small scale research to inform decision making e.g. service user experience of health services and audits Develop, co-ordinate and evaluate targeted digital platforms to promote and enhance sexual health services across the geographical area. Analysis of Public Health reports and evidence reviews to enhance outreach capabilities. Work in partnership with local health promotion agencies to improve knowledge of sexual health and uptake of services by young people. Remain informed with best practice developments in health promotion, both generically and with specific reference to Public and Sexual Health. Use local networks and national databases to research best practice. Work with members of the outreach education team; liaise with clinical staff as necessary.
