Summary
Band 3 Therapy Assistant
Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking to recruit a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our diverse team of allied health professionals and support staff who work within the Complex Rehab Unit at Castle Hill Hospital
The post holders will work alongside colleagues to support the further assessment and rehab of patients referred for acute complex rehabilitation, who may have acute neurological conditions, acquired and traumatic brain injuries, or recovering from a complex medical event. As a Therapy Assistant you will have direct input in the treatment of patients who present within acute care, delivering evidence based interventions to facilitate recover, promote well-being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life
We are seeking people who can adapt to a changing environment and work well in a team. You will be expected to be an active member of the therapy and multi-disciplinary teams and strive to treat patients and colleagues with compassion, kindness and respect.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to complement our Therapy Service at the Complex Rehab Unit at Castle Hill Hospital ,although there may be a requirement to be able to work at any site and within any clinical area within the Trust.
The post holder will be required to work 20 hours over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in order to support with the progression of patients' rehab.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to gain or further develop their experience working as a Therapy Assistant to provide support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in carrying out delegated duties. In addition, the post holder will assist in undertaking clerical and administrative duties directly related to patient care including mobility aids and clinical supplies.
An NVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent is desirable .
