The Humber and North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to undertake the role of Procurement Buyer
As part of our dynamic procurement team, you’ll play a vital role in collaborating with our Stakeholders and partners to support value, quality -driven procurement solutions.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Procurement Buyer to support strategic sourcing of goods and services in accordance with Standing Financial Instructions, EU Procurement Directives, and UK legislation.
You will need to possess an understanding of the various levers of unlocking value from procurement, such as but not limited to sourcing, tendering, demand management, standardisation, contract management and innovation
You will require excellent communication and negotiation skills to support stakeholders and partners though the procurement journey.
Flexible working is promoted, you will be expected to manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
You will provide professional advice to users on specific procurement projects across all three trusts, presenting the procurement collaborative as a progressive, responsive and innovative group who provide new thinking which works collaboratively to positively influence others perception concerning the value of effective and efficient procurement services.
Deliver and report on financial savings and value for money through procurement projects to achieve target financial savings.
