The Governing Body wish to appoint a pro-active, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, with a commitment to inclusive learning. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring, ethos of our multi-cultural school is essential. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, good interpersonal skills, show initiative, share in the planning and evaluation of activities and work well as part of a dedicated team.
The successful applicant will join our team as a Well-being Teaching Assistant, providing targeted support for individual pupils and small groups who experience emotional and social difficulties across the school. This includes supporting children who have experienced trauma, helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to engage in learning.
The appointed candidate must be flexible, delivering both planned interventions and responsive, unplanned support to meet the needs of children as they arise. A strong understanding of how to help pupils with gaps in their emotional and social development is essential. The role will involve promoting positive relationships, resilience, and emotional regulation, ensuring pupils feel valued and supported. The appointment will be subject to suitably qualified candidates with NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education, NNEB or equivalent qualifications.
