Teacher of Business & Economics
- Permanent Teaching Post
- Flexible start date
- ECTs are encouraged to apply
- Must hold QTS/PGCE or be working towards
I am working with a successful 11-18 secondary school in Watford, Hertfordshire, to recruit a permanent Teacher of Business & Economics. The school can offer start dates in January 2026, April 2026 or September 2026 and is open to applications from strong ECTs as well as experienced teachers with a track record in these subjects.
As a Teacher of Business & Economics, you will join a forward-looking department that is popular at GCSE and A Level. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Business at KS4 and KS5, and Economics at KS5 where appropriate, helping students to understand key concepts such as markets, entrepreneurship, finance and global economic issues. You will have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development and to support enrichment activities such as enterprise projects, trips and competitions.
The school is keen to appoint someone who can combine excellent subject knowledge with the ability to make Business & Economics relevant, engaging and aspirational for students. ECTs will benefit from a strong induction programme, mentoring and regular CPD, while more experienced teachers may be considered for additional responsibilities. TLRs may be available for the right candidate, particularly where there is experience or interest in leading a key stage, qualifications offer or enrichment programme.
If you are interested in this Teacher of Business & Economics role in Watford, please get in touch to discuss your experience, preferred timetable and ideal start date. I will provide detailed information about the department and the school, and support you closely throughout the recruitment process - from initial conversation and application to interview preparation and final offer.
