You will be joining a responsive, progressive and innovative Social Work resource where children’s needs are central to policy, practice and partnership working.

You must be willing to work towards this qualification or have the qualification before commencing post. There are two parts to residential childcare worker qualification requirements. You must have a practice qualification plus an award of certificated knowledge, or one qualification which meets the full criteria. The main qualifications are detailed below: SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7 and HNC Social Services.     Overseas Criminal Records Check

    An Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK (Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years.

The check must be translated into English and should come from the police, judicial authority, government department or home embassy of the country or countries concerned.
