An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a children’s occupationaltherapyassistant within the ISCAN team (Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs). We are a multi-agency team, consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists,dieticiansand nursing.


OurOccupationalTherapy servicedelivers specialist care to children and young people 0-19 yearswith a variety of health needs whichimpacttheir ability to engage in everydayoccupations.


A dynamic,enthusiasticandexperienced personis required tojoin our friendly, motivated and highly skilled team. The applicant should be an excellent communicator and have relevant experience of working with children and young people. You will have support from experienced colleagues within theoccupational Therapy and widermulti-disciplinary team and have regular supervision from your line manager.

The post holder will work as a member of the Occupational Therapy team, supporting the delivery of parent and familycentredcare,with supervision and support available from a designated therapist.They will be able to work independently with service users within the scope of the role and operational policies,protocols,and procedures.Work may be in clinics, schools orfamilies’homes and will includedemonstratinganddeliveringtherapyinterventions; reviewing,adjustingand providing guidance on the use ofspecialist equipment;and making assessments and recommendations for minor adaptations.The post holderwill have a commitmentto collaborativeworking,liaising withother health, education andsocial care professionals and agenciesasrequired.
