Summary

Healthcare Assistant Radiology Nursing
Band 3

Multiple hours available from fulltime to part time

This is an excellent opportunity to join a hardworking, progressive Radiology department.

You would be required to assist the Radiologists and Radiographers with many procedures, including preparing patients for examinations, receiving and booking patients in for examinations and assisting with a variety of imaging procedures within Radiology. You will have a weekly rotation through CT, MR, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and Breast Imaging and the nature of your work will be varied. You will also have an advocate/chaperone role on behalf of both the patient and staff during intimate or invasive procedures.


You will be a part of team of Radiology Assistants that provide excellent care to patients requiring Radiological procedures.

You need to have a caring and empathetic personality.


It would be beneficial to have background experience in Clinical Support work however, radiology focused induction programme and in-house training will be provided.

The post holder will provide clinical support in carrying out assigned tasks and delivery of care to patients within the radiology department during all examinations.
They will be responsible for providing personalised care for patients and assisting in interventional procedures, as required following appropriate training and within their scope of competence. They will also provide training, direction, and supervision to junior staff.
