Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
You will need to:
• Have gained GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths
• Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable, e.g. NVQ in Learning Support, but full trainingfor the specific position will be provided
• Be a positive, supportive and caring practitioner
• Have very high expectations for learning and behaviour
• Have the ability to work as part as a team, be flexible, solutions focused and good humoured
• Be knowledgeable of child development
• It is also desirable for you to have:
• Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification
• At least 2 years of experience working in a school
• Experience of adapting the curriculum for pupils with SEND
• Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs
