The Role
You will be working within our Strategic Commissioning Programme Team, responsible for delivering a programme of work over the
next two years which will deliver the transformation, and future delivery of our Environmental Services.
You should have:
You will be an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and programmes within
challenging timescales, ideally within a transformation environment. You will be confident in leading multiple workstreams,
ensuring they remain on track, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and managing expectations, risks, and deadlines with
authority.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead and drive the successful implementation of the new delivery model for the Council’s
environmental services, ensuring all elements of the change are delivered effectively, on time, and to the highest standard.
Some of your key skills and experience:
* Proven skills in all facets of Project Management and Risk Management including Project Planning and Initiation, Stakeholder
Management, Resource Management, Risk Management, Performance Monitoring and Reporting,
* Experience working on complex transformation change/improvement, ideally with experience and/or background in environmental
Services (waste, grounds, streetscene)
* Ability to design, develop and maintain technical project documentation in line with business need, working independently and
prioritising your own workload.
* Experience of co-ordinating democratic approval/sign off on project documentation.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
* Ability to react to change and problem solve appropriately.
