Our client is an award-winning defendant law firm with offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting a senior associate with circa. 8 years PQE to join their Manchester Property Damage team. This is a hybrid role and a very competitive salary is available and negotiable dependant on experience.
Your new role
This Property Damage Senior Associate role will see you:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of complex, high-value property coverage and recovery claims, including major loss and business interruption matters.
- Provide comprehensive advice to insurers, reinsurers, and corporate clients on property damage, policy coverage, and subrogated recovery claims.
- Prepare and review legal documentation, including advice, pleadings, and settlement agreements with precision and attention to detail.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, offering guidance, feedback, and support in line with the firm's cultural values.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and commercially focused advice.
- Collaborate closely with partners on complex cases, major loss investigations, and strategic client development initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Circa 8 years PQE.
- Experience in property insurance, coverage, or recovery work.
- Strong technical expertise in property damage, policy coverage, and subrogated recovery claims, with a proven track record advising insurers and large corporates.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a demanding and varied caseload independently, while providing guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.
- Exceptional drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and strong commercial awareness.
- Confident communicator skilled in building and maintaining client relationships and delivering clear, practical advice.
- Collaborative team player with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and multiple offices or jurisdictions.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with a genuine interest in the property and insurance sectors.
