The Role:
As a key member of our Service Team, you’ll be the face of Carter Pumps—delivering high-quality service to customers onsite.
Your work will involve a variety of mechanical tasks, including:
• Installing, servicing, and repairing pumps, filtration systems, treatment units, and associated pipework (clean and wastewater)
• Troubleshooting faults and helping develop accurate quotations for clients
• Attending site visits alone or as part of a team
• Responding to emergency call-outs (including some evening/weekend work)
• Reporting to and working closely with our experienced Service Manager
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who’s technically skilled, safety-conscious, and client-focused. You should have:
• A strong mechanical background (pump, filtration, pipework or control panel experience preferred)
• Great diagnostic and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A full, clean UK driving licence
• Awareness of Health & Safety protocols, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Good written reporting skills and physical fitness
Bonus points if you also bring electrical knowledge or experience in a similar engineering role.
Additional Details:
• You’ll need your own basic tools/power tools – specialist tools are provided
• Based from our Witney or Devizes office, depending on your location
